This is the view of Almuñecar taken from the far end of the beach. Matias the director likes jogging and a few of us often come jogging down here in the early evening. We climb the hill and we get an excellent view of the bay and sometimes we manage to catch the sunset (puesta del sol).
Almuñécar is on the "costa tropical". It has a tropical climate with mild winters and warm summers. Some people will tell you that Almuñecar has the perfect climate.
As consequence many tropical fruits are grown in area. As some of them don't travel well for export I am sure that some of them you will have never tried such as chirimoyas (custard apple) nísperas (loquat). There are even bananas.
In the evenings there is always something going on. In the foto on the left we are starting the evening with beach party. Afterwards some people go home and some of us partake of the lively nightlife.

As Almuñecar never has frosts in the winter it is ideal for delicate plants and flowers. Many of the gardens and balconies are festooned with hibiscus and other flowers.
